There is a thriving Parents Association, which supports the School through its organisation of social and fund-raising events.
We know parents play a crucial role in their child's education. We place a great deal of emphasis on a partnership with parents and value the wide range of strengths that they have to offer. Parents are always welcome in the School.
CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
ACADEMIC YEAR 2006/2007
This year has once again been an extremely successful one for everyone at the school.
With regard to the Parents Association, I can report that we have once again had a very successful year.As previously, our Christmas Bazaar was very successful, both in terms ofmoneyraised and turn-out and we thank everyone for their support. Our Summer event was also very successful, though a little different this year.Due to a very severe weather forecast for the planned week-end of the Fete, the decision was taken to cancel the event and to hold a smaller scale Fun Afternoon a week or so later. This proved extremely popular with parents and children alike, was very well attended, and raised a healthy sum.
Other events included the Easter Cake Sale, KS1 Xmas Party, KS2 Pantomime, Open Day, Barge evening and a New Parents Tea.A Race Night unfortunately had to be cancelled due to low ticket sales.
The PA and parents are involved in many ways throughout the school, including Library and ICT rota, swimming etc.The School and PA committee are extremely grateful to everyone, no matter how much or how little you have assisted, in terms of effort and donations.Without that help what we have achieved this year would not have been possible.
Special thanks must also be extended to Mrs Coyle, Mr Guest and the staff for their continued support in everything we do.
And so in closing,
Maldon Court School and the Parents Association continue to go from strength to strength, the PA helped greatly by the support given by Mrs Coyle and her staff. The PA will certainly continue to work for the benefit and enjoyment of the children during their time here at Maldon Court.
