The Board of Visitors
The Board of Visitors at Maldon Court Preparatory School was established in 2004 by the Principal, Mrs Loraine Guest. The initial aim of the board was to provide an alternative source of advice for parents and staff and to ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school. Mrs Guest felt that she needed a sounding board and support for her vision to move the school forward.
Over the years and as the school has grown, the Board of Visitors role has evolved. Members of the board are now involved in many aspects of school life, including exclusion appeals and teacher interviews. The board offers advice on a diverse range of issues including policy approval, the school's curriculum, safeguarding, finance management and strategic planning.
