Form 5 Residential Day 2

The children had a fantastic afternoon kayaking yesterday. The tide was so high we had to get a powerboat from Trinity to the shore. We then kayaked on the salt pool. This entailed practicing  skills to go forwards and turn circles and even having a cake break!  We played some games including a game of cops and robbers. Some of the children who started the day unable to kayak at all were, by the end of the afternoon, really capable of controlling their kayak. They all supported each other and were great team players and great sports. The children then enjoyed some cabin time and getting warm in the showers before dinner and a walk around Tollesbury followed by some more well deserved cake. .

Today, the children woke up raring to go. Following sausages for breakfast, they have been enjoying the fresh weather blowing the cobwebs away with team building games. We have experienced acid bogs, gutter ball, spiders web and diplomacy. It has been fabulous to see the different team working skills and the development of the children as they work together to solve a challenge.

Further updates to follow.
